The Aprilia Tuareg 660 is an adventure tourer that shares its underpinnings with the Tuono 660 and RS 660. Once launched in India, the bike will compete against models like Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, Honda XL750 Transalp, Triumph Tiger 900 and others.

Aprilia It is working on expanding its model lineup in India. The brand is bringing its international models to the Indian market. The latest addition to the lineup is the brand’s middleweight adventure motorcycle, Aprilia Tuareg 660, The bike has recently been listed on the Indian website and now the prices of the model have been revealed ahead of its launch in April. The bike will be sold in three colors – Atreides Black, Canyon Sand and evocative Dakar Podium. The first two will be priced at Rs 18.85 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Evocative Dakar Podium will be priced at Rs 19.16 lakh (ex-showroom).

Coming from the family of Tuono 660 and RS 660, the Tuareg 660 boasts of the signature Aprilia styling in the adventure tourer format. The bike comes with a long and sleek look. To add personality, the bike gets two triangle-shaped LED headlights topped with a transparent visor. It also has a rusty fuel tank with a saddle designed for off-road riding. Adding to its character, it is equipped with a belly pan to protect the underbelly of the motorcycle. Complementing the qualities is an upswept exhaust.

Aprilia Tuareg 660: Features

To help riders, the Aprilia Tuareg 660 comes with four riding modes, two of which are customizable. It also gets ABS which can be deactivated for both the wheels or the rear wheels depending on the rider’s needs. Apart from this, the bike also gets APRC system (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) which can be used for cruise control, traction control, engine map and engine brake. All these features can be adjusted using the 5-inch TFT screen.

Aprilia Tuareg 660: Specifications

Based on a steel tubular frame, the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is powered by a 659 cc parallel-twin engine. This is the same power unit that the brand has used in the Tuono 660 and RS 660. Some believe it is half of the V4 power unit used on the RSV4. It is tuned to deliver 80 bhp of power and 70 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with optional quick-shifter.
