KTM 390 Enduro and Adventure variants to be launched soon, spotted testing in India

KTM enthusiasts, buckle up! The much-awaited KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted once again and this time it has a new twist. The spy shots reveal not one, but two different test mules, giving us a glimpse of what could be a major refresh for the adventure motorcycle.

The standard 390 Adventure Edition features vertically stacked projector LED headlight setup with tube-shaped LED DRLs. Adding to its rugged appeal, it has a transparent visor with a vent.

Meanwhile, the KTM 390 Adventure Enduro takes a slightly different route with a smaller LED headlight setup, possibly ditching the visor altogether. Both versions exhibit a long beak in place of the traditional front fenders, as well as modified front-side fairings to suit their respective designs. Notably, the Enduro version features a flat seat, while the Standard version opts for a single-piece scooped unit, further exacerbating the differences between the two.

Hardware-wise, both the test mules are equipped with essential off-road accessories including an engine crash guard, bash plate and a side guard. Upon closer inspection, it is clear that the Enduro version is equipped with block pattern tyres, while its counterpart has dual-purpose rubber. These tires wrap around a 21-inch front and 18-inch spoke wheel.

Underneath the exterior are a set of adjustable upside-down front forks and a new off-set monoshock. Braking duties are handled by single discs at both ends, complemented by ABS for added safety. Features like traction control, ride modes, ABS mode and a fully digital TFT with smartphone connectivity are expected to improve the riding experience.

Powering the upcoming 390 Adventure lineup is a 399 cc, liquid-cooled engine sourced from the 390 Duke, producing 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and is equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter.

As far as pricing is concerned, sources suggest that the standard model will be priced around Rs. 3.5 lakh, the Enduro trim is priced around Rs. is a little more than. 3.8 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, these flagship KTM adventure bikes will rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and BMW G 310 GS.
