The latest Telugu movie Lambasingi starring Jai Bharat Raj and Divi Vadathya has been released in theaters today. Check out our review to find out how it fared.

Veera Babu (Bharath Raj), a rookie police constable, is assigned to Lambasingi, an agency area in Andhra Pradesh, for his first posting. There, he becomes enamored with Haritha (Divi Vadathya). However, tensions rise when Naxalites murder the local MLA. As Veera Babu goes deeper, he discovers Haritha’s true identity and her mysterious past. Is she connected to the murder of the MLA? What steps will Veera Babu take next? The answers are revealed in the film’s story, which reveals all the details.

Plus points:

Divi Vadathya has performed admirably in her role, displaying versatility in her debut as a heroine. His portrayal displays depth with great colors, which adds to the entertainment value of the film.

Actor Bharat Raj, on his debut, provides ample moments throughout the film. Additionally, some of the songs composed by RR Dhruvan are known for their quality.

Negative Points:

The story follows a familiar trajectory, lacking originality and failing to offer anything fresh. Despite the potential for a compelling narrative, the screenplay falls flat, becoming predictable and mundane.

After a promising turn, the latter half of the film turns into a formulaic plot reminiscent of many successful films. Lambasingi, a picturesque hill station in Andhra Pradesh, has been inadequately photographed, missing the opportunity to capture its natural beauty.

Additionally, the inconsistent lip-sync, especially noticeable with Divi’s character, spoils the overall viewing experience. Many characters are not well designed, resulting in lackluster performances from the rest of the cast.

technical aspects:

While Naveen Gandhi’s concept looks promising, the execution of the story leaves a lot to be desired. Paying more attention to improving the script could have increased the impact of the film.

The background score fails to leave a lasting impact, and K Bujji’s cinematography lacks the visual brilliance expected from such beautiful settings. However, editing is acceptable. The production values are satisfactory.

Overall, Lambasinghi fails to set itself apart from the crowd of similar narratives. Despite satisfactory performances from Jai Bharat Raj and Divi Vadathya and some entertaining musical moments, the film lacks originality, a coherent story and strong character development. For those looking for engaging entertainment, exploring alternative options is strongly recommended. Rating: 1.5/5
