Tata Motors is betting big on its upcoming product curve. This new coupe SUV will definitely be a head-turner in terms of design and road presence. However, it’s not all about the design, as the automaker will bundle this upcoming coupe with a lot of technology and features.
Recently, this model was spotted testing next to its brother Nexon. Although the Nexon was a pre-facelifted model, it gave a good idea about the shape, dimensions and road presence of the Tata Curve. Compared to the Nexon, the upcoming coupe looks wider and has a more imposing stance.
Some of the design highlights of the Tata Curve include a full-width light bar at the front, split LED headlamps, redesigned grille and bumper, sloping roofline, flush-fitting door handles, connected LED taillights and a shark fin antenna. Are included. Notably, the rear reflector design and positioning is similar to the new Nexon.
Another spy image reveals the addition of Blind Spot Assist feature, which is being offered on the Harrier and Safari. This feature will likely work in conjunction with the full ADAS suite. As far as features are concerned, recent spy pictures of the interior reveal a curved cabin. It will feature a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, all-digital instrument cluster, twin-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, touch-based HVAC controls, auto-dimming IRVM and purple accents on the dashboard (similar to the Nexon). ,
The EV version of the Curve will launch first and will be followed by the ICE iteration. The latter will use 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines mated to manual and automatic gearboxes. Upon arrival, the Curve will compete with the Citroen Basalt and Mahindra XUV.E9 in its ICE and EV guise respectively.
