The Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross will get a major facelift early next year

  • Significant changes are to be made in the design
  • Powertrain options remain the same

Citroen will launch a new version of the C3 and C3 Aircross early next year. A major revision in design and materials will make them more premium. Meanwhile, the existing line-up is being prepared to get more features by July this year.

2025 Citroen cars design, features and equipment

The 2025 Citroen model will feature cosmetic changes that will be in line with the French styling though like redesigned lamps, reshaped bumpers and more. The omission of features from the current line-up was not taken well by Indian buyers. However, these will be re-introduced and the 2025 models will come fully equipped. We expect the top-spec C3 Aircross to include missing features like LED headlamps, keyless entry, electric folding mirrors, ventilated front seats, push-button start, automatic climate control, sunroof, cruise control and wireless charging. All of these are available on its competitors. Furthermore, this mid-size SUV will continue to boast of flexible seating options.

Facelifted C3 and C3 Aircross powertrain options

The same engine options and the recently introduced automatic transmission will be carried over in the facelift. Currently, the C3 Aircross is powered by a 109bhp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol mated to six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearboxes. On the other hand, the C3 offers two options. The 1.2-litre turbo is paired with a six-speed manual, and the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre unit producing 81bhp comes only with a five-speed manual.

Pricing and Competition

With additional equipment and cosmetic changes, it is safe to expect a slight increase in the prices of the facelifted models. Nonetheless, let’s hope this C3 Aircross remains a worthy rival to the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hayrider and others. Meanwhile, the C3 hatchback rivals the Tata Punch, Maruti Ignis, Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite.
