‘Yoddha’ box office collection day 4: Sidharth Malhotra starrer sees huge decline on Monday Hindi Movie News

Siddharth Malhotra, Rashi Khanna And Disha Patani starrer Warrior‘ The first weekend of the film, which released on Friday, was lackluster in terms of business. A big action film like this should have had a big opening weekend, but it earned a total of Rs 16.85 crore in the first three days. This was considered low as ‘Yoddha’ had offered ‘buy one, get one free’ offer on Saturday. Sunday business saw an increase compared to Saturday and the film earned around Rs 7 crore on Sunday. However, a huge decline was seen on Monday.
According to Sacknilk, ‘Yoddha’ fell from Rs 7 crore to Rs 2.15 crore (as per initial estimates) on Monday. The 4 day collection of the film has now reached Rs 19 crore. In this way there has been a decline of about Rs 5 crore. Apparently now, as per the trend seen over the past few years, these types of action movies are not really catching on with the masses. The same happened in the case of ‘Fighter’ as most trade experts believed that the film only had a connect with the urban centers and despite its star appeal, it did not get much business from the masses.
On Friday, ETimes had estimated the film’s opening day numbers to be less than Rs 5 crore and talked about business expert, Exhibitors and Distributors. At the time, trade analyst Girish Wankhede had pointed out the factors that had led to the decline in the film’s numbers. “The multiple postponements of the film would have made it a stale proposition and there was no innovation in the look or positioning of the film. Barring one or two innovative hoardings in Mumbai, there was nothing to talk about. Promotion and visibility on the digital space It was also inadequate and nothing new was done. The look and feel was very routine and mundane. It had a net disconnect with the audience because of its lead pair and visibility quotient,” he had said.
