When it comes to safety, Mahindra is expected to equip the XUVe.9 with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPAS) and ADAS features. Considering how the XUV700 performed in the Global NCAP crash test, expectations from the Mahindra XUV.e9 will be high.

Mahindra XUV.e9: Powertrain

The upcoming XUV.e9 will be based on the INGLO platform with 60 kWh and 80 kWh battery packs. Given the size of the platform and battery pack, the XUV.e9 can accommodate both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive setups. It is also expected to deliver a claimed range of up to 500 km. The car is also expected to have fast charging capabilities that will charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.

The Mahindra XUV.e9 will follow the launch of the XUV.e8 which is expected to arrive later this year. This means that we won’t see the XUV.e9 in the market until 2025.
